Q. Can I put Dish Network in my business?
A. Yes - Dish Network offers a wide variety of programming tailored to meet the
needs of any type of business. News and Finance channel, with 15 of the
most popular news channels, such as FOX News and CNN is under $30/month.
Q. I am in the Military and may be moved overseas?
A. If you are in the Military, and get moved somewhere in the USA,
just take the equipment with you and have it installed at your new address.
If you are deployed overseas where you can't take the equipment with you, YOU
are still required to complete your one or two year commitment. IF you have a
chance of getting deployed, DISH may not be the best choice for you.
Q. Do I need different equipment for Public/Private establishments?
A. Though the programming is different for Public/Private, the equipment is the same cost
as residential.
Q. Can I receive music through the system?
A. Yes. Dish Network offers over 30 channels of commercial-free music. This can
be used for background music, music-on-hold, or for your personal entertainment.
Q. If I install my dish antenna outside, will it get stolen?
A. The dish antenna is the least expensive component of the system and is
basically useless without the set-top receiver. Also keep in mind that the dish
antenna is small enough to be placed in an inconspicuous location on your home
or property.
Q. If I move, can I take the equipment with me?
A. Yes. We distribute programming across the continental United States. Our
equipment can be used all over; just call 1-800-333-DISH to have your new
install scheduled. Just leave your DISH, and DISH Network will install a new one
for you. Ask for the DISH Mover plan. OR you may call us in Colorado Springs and
we can move you as well.
Q. How does Dish Network compare with cable?
A. Dish Network programming offers more choice and value. All Dish programming
is digital, whereas your cable system will be analog or part analog and part
digital. Using Dish Network, your picture quality will be noticeably better.
Also, the variety of programming is incomparable; Dish Network offers hundreds
of Channels of programming.
Q. My service has been disconnected due to non- payment. What do I do?
A. If your service has been turned off, call us at 1-800-333-DISH and DISH can
take your credit card payment. We do charge your account $25 to reconnect
service after your account has been disconnected due to non payment.
Q. How do I disconnect my service?
A. As soon as you decide to disconnect your service, Please call StarView
Communications (if we installed you) then call DISH at 1-800-333-DISH. If you
disconnect your receiver and dish antenna and don't call DISH to disconnect your
programming, you will continue to be billed. You must call DISH to terminate
the billing. Keep in mind that all service from StarView Communications REQUIRES at least a one-year
commitment. Failure to keep your one-year commitment will result in early
disconnect fees being charged to your credit card from both DISH Network and
StarView Communications.
Q. How many receivers can I have on my account for my commercial establishment?
A. Dish Network allows a total of 15 receivers per Public Private account.
You can have multiple accounts. There
is no maximum number of receivers on Free to Guest account.
Q. Is there an additional fee for having extra receivers on my account?
A. Dish Network charges an additional $4.99 per receiver, per month for the
identical programming.
Q. Can I get my Local Broadcast Networks in Colorado Springs? (ABC, CBS, NBC,
PBS, FOX, WB).
A. Currently, Dish Network provides these networks to persons living in the
Colorado Springs Area. DISH Network DOES provide the local channels in HD as
well.
Q. Can I get Denver Locals?
A. Unless you live a few miles North of Monument, or West of Woodland
Park, you may not receive Denver Channels.
Q. Why do I need a phone line installed on my receiver?
A. All dual tuner receivers require a phone line attached.
However, if you chose, or don't have a land line, you will lose a $5.00 credit.
