Recreational Adventures Co. (RAC), hired StarView Communications to
upgrade and repair two of their campground cable television system. 

One located in Hill City SD, (Mount Rushmore) and in Astoria Seaside Oregon. 
Both systems were upgrade to 24 channels and all taps and customer outlets were checked to ensure proper signal level.

KOA Seaside Campground in Astoria Oregon:

Located only a short distance from the ocean, KOA Astoria Seaside is a great campground with indoor pool that required some minor repairs and upgrades.

Over the years, many modifications were made to the system to ease troubleshooting.  There were no maps or documentation of this system.  StarView Communications walked and tested the cable using a cable locator and a TDR, (Time Doman Reflectometer) which will measure the exact footage of each cable and look for faults.  This information was then transferred to a AutoCAD system to produce a accurate diagram of the cable system.

  Mapped out property and provided map using AutoCAD program

  Upgraded channel lineup to 24 channels

  Installed several amplifiers to improve signal levels at site location
