StarView Communications was awarded the contract to supply cable television services to the Colorado Springs Airport.  Here are some of the facts about the installation:

  Required approximately 2,000 feet of RG-6 Plenum Cable

  Taps were installed every 100 feet to ensure there would be no service issues

  NO channels were installed that would interfere with aircraft frequencies as listed by the FCC.

  Installed a 30 channel headend feeding the entire airport

  Installed 24 inch dishes with automatic snow removal.  NO rain or snow issues.

24 channels can fit easily within 2 racks.  This equipment MUST be installed in an air-conditioned room or a room with good air flow.  Each rack is 6 feet tall and approximately 21 inches wide.  By using 7-foot racks, you can easily install more channels in less space.  StarView Communications uses ONLY heated dishes for this type of application for automatic snow removal.      For more information about The Colorado Springs Airport
